My education has been focused on the customer service, hospitality and IT industries. I have two college degrees in tourism from Bournemouth and Poole College and two Bachelor degrees, the first in Hospitality Management and the second in Information Communication Technology, both from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
I was a late-in-life learner, realizing the joy and desire of learning when I was in my twenties and have been absorbing education exponentially since then. Current self-study projects include PHP programming, digital learning and iOS application development.
My work experience has been a varied one, but this only serves to increase my comprehension of how various industries work. Generally the focus has been on the customer service, an aspect of business that I find to be completely necessary in any field.
For the last two and a half years I have been working at Omnia, Joint Authority of education, Espoo as a Mobile System's Learning Specialist for the Learning Solutions department. My role requires me to administrate, maintain and develop mobile learning devices and provide expertise on all matters related to technical education including but not limited to, devices, applications and services.
My skills are quite varied but with a strong focus on the IT industry.
My biggest hobby by far is playing video games. I have been a huge video game fan since I was 5 years old and played The Legend of Zelda for the first time.
It only took 1 friend to introduce me to frisbee golf before I became hooked. Much simpler that regular golf, and in my opinion, infinitely more fun, the Finnish summers are only improved upon with a game of this!.
